Living with Interstitial Cystitis

I was diagnosed with IC 4 6 years ago, and i am now 22 years old. It has been very hard to deal with the constant pain and suffering of this disease. I dont mean to offend anyone when i say this, but it is nice to know that i am not alone, but i would not wish this disease on my worst enemy. I am married now and i feel like i cannot make my husband happy when it comes to sex, because i have to stop in the middle crying because it hurts so bad. I have been through all three cycles of the medication that they offer u and none have worked for me. Im terrifyed of the surgerys that they offer. Sometimes i get scared that this will mess my marriage up, but my husband is very carring and patient with me. I get up all the time in the middle of the night to use the restroom and then cant get back to sleep because of the pain. I have even tryed using cold rags after useing the restroom or haveing sex and it does sometimes help. I hope that helps some of u that are going through the same thing.
