Had Aseptic Meningitis Twice from Septra

I just want to reiterate the possible incidence of Septra causing meningitis.I have had aspectic meningitis twice(both confirmed with lumbar puncture and positive findings in CSF)due to taking Septra for a urinary tract infection I have Multiple Sclerosis which makes me fall under being immuno-suppresses. I was very fortunate the second time. I spent 3 days in ICU after taking a single dose-not knowing that Septra was the cause of the first instance. I had a great neurologist that caught the connection. I cautiously wear a medical bracelet and try to educate others in healthcare when they don’t believe that Septra can cause aseptic meningitis. I tell them to look it up!!! Its for real!
