Prostatitis

I am 42 years old and had my first experience with prostate problems 6 months ago in May of 2009. I didn’t know what was going on because I had never even heard of prostatitis before. My symptoms were burning upon urination, groin pain, a very warm sensation throughout the groin, and pain in the genitals. The worst symptom was the intense “prickly” feeling all over the groin. There was some numbness there too.

Started on antibiotics, sulfamethoxazole, doxycyclene, cipro and back on sulfa. I have been on antibiotics for six months. The symptoms would start to get better and then come back after a couple of weeks. I knew antibiotics were not going to be the answer. I had two urologists tell me it could be something I would have to “deal” with for the rest of my life. I didn’t relish the idea of living in misery the rest of my days. It has been very difficult for me physically and emotionally. I became depressed and stressed which only made the symptoms worse.

I experienced some relief with flomax but the symptoms kept hanging around, especially the warm feeling that indicates infection. I was fearful that when I quit the antibiotics my life would become a perpetual state of misery.

I read a lot about prostatitis on the internet and started investigating herbal remedies, specifically ayurstate and was just before giving it a try (it is pretty expensive) when I ventured into a Vitamin World store. I went to the men’s health section and found a product called “Prosta Strong”, which is an overall prostate care formula or supplement. It had all the ingredients that you read are good for the prostate including saw palmetto, lycopene, zinc, quercetin, stinging nettles, pygeum and pumpkin seed. I paid $20 for a bottle of 90 soft gell capsules. I have been taking 4 per day for 5 days AND MY SYMPTOMS ARE COMPLETELY GONE!!! It could be coincidence I guess but I don’t think so. My symptoms had waxed and waned for 6 months but I had never gotten relief from the warm sensation in my groin which was very uncomfortable. It is now gone too.

Since I started Prosta-Strong I found a news report posted on youtube about a similar product called Prosta-Q and there was a guy that had suffered with prostatitis for 2 years and found immediate relief shortly after starting the regiment. Please, please if you have prostatitis try one of these products. It worked for me so it could work for you too. It’s cheap to try and it made a believer out of me. I feel normal for the first time in 6 months!
