Coping With Vaginal Prolapse

l am 49 years old and have a grade 3 anterior and posterior vaginal wall bulge. l have had 4 children and l also had a vaginal hysterectomy 10 years ago. My gyno tells me these are the reasons of my current condition. l have decided to have a repair done as it has begun to control my life. l am feeling stinging and aching pain in the bladder and my coxxyx. l need to urinate frequently. l feel as though my insides are going to fall out. l also need to splint my anus to use my bowels and suffer constipation. l am finding sex painful and dont have alot of feeling in the lower part of my vagina. l also have an unpleasant vaginal odour.

Not only does this condition affect me physically but also emotionally. Therefore l feel l dont have a choice other than having the surgery. l have tried extensive pelvic excersise for a long time and has not helped. l am a bit nervy about having it done and cant find many women that have had it done, l am writing this with the hope that someone that reads this may have had it done and that maybe has a site to reccomend. l am having surgery on the 4th july and l will keep readers posted.
