To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Vaginal Prolapse I am a 42 year old woman and have had a bulge in my vagina for about 2 years. I see a nurse practioner, who told me that I had a 1st degree prolapse, but never told me what to do about it. She said that it basically happens to all women because of the way that we’re built and the force of gravity. I wish that I had been seeing a good gynocologist I know that mine was caused by my second baby who I had at 33 years old and she weighed 9.12 lbs!! Very terrible deivery, in labor from 5 am until she was born at 11:30 pm. Plus, they had to use forceps and suction to get her out. They also had to call in another doctor to help. My last checkup before having her my doctor said that I measured to be the size of someone having twins!! Wouldn’t you have thought that this would have been a clue to preform c-section? On top of this misery, I had a 3rd degree episiotomy, which was done so horribly that it left me with a gaping vaginal entrance and poor bowel control, so I had to go back in to have a repair episiotomy and try to repair sphinter muscle. Even though this was done by another DR, it was with poor results too. I just recently told my boyfriend of 10 years about the prolapse and things don’t seem the same between him and I. I feel your pain over how you were treated. I guess I am feeling like damaged goods and when a boyfriend or health professional isn’t totally compassionate, it really hurts. Comments
