THIRD TIME WASN’T A CHARM

I HAD CYSTOCELE AND RECTOCELE REPAIR IN AUGUST 2006, AT 46 YEARS OF AGE, BY AN OB/GYN AND A UROLOGIST. I HAD CONTINUAL PAIN INTERNALLY AFTER SURGERY(LIKE “STICKERS” POKING ME). SEX WAS PAINFUL AND MY FAMILY DR. THOUGHT IT WAS SCAR TISSUE AND GAVE ME “EXERCISES”. A YEAR LATER, MY HUSBAND COMPLAINED ABOUT PAIN WITH INTERCOURSE (WHICH I HAD SINCE SURGERY). MY FAMILY DR. SAID IT WAS KELOIDS AND I NEEDED TO F/U WITH THE OB/GYN. I UNDERWENT SURGERY THE SECOND TIME AND WAS TOLD IT WAS MESH COMING THROUGH THE VAGINAL WALL AS WELL AS ADHESIONS, ETC. MY ANATOMY WAS TOTALLY MESSED UP AFTER THAT (MULTIPLE TUNNELING) AND NEEDLESS TO SAY VERY PAINFUL. SO I AGAIN HAD SURGERY, BUT THIS TIME IT WAS DONE BY THE UROLOGIST HE HAD TO REMOVE THE MESH AND THE SLING AND HOPES THAT THE SCAR TISSUE HOLDS THE BLADDER IN PLACE. IT’S BEEN ALMOST 3 MONTHS SINCE THE 3RD SURGERY AND I HAVE ALOT OF PRESSURE VAGINALLY AND RECTALLY. I ALSO HAVE ABD. PAIN CONSTANTLY AND CAN’T WEAR ANY TIGHT CLOTHES (LIKE MY DENIMS). INTERCOURSE ISN’T QUITE AS PAINFUL BUT I’M STILL HURTING. I GUESS I’M AT A LOSS HERE. IS THIS NORMAL TO HAVE THIS MUCH PROBLEMS? WILL I EVER HAVE A NORMAL SEX LIFE WITH MY HUSBAND AGAIN?
